In an effort to provide householders in Wiltshire with the opportunity to manage their food waste and avoid sending it to landfill, we have teamed up with Green Cone to offer food waste digesters subsidised by Wiltshire County Council.

We are pleased to be able to offer two food waste digesters in our special pilot scheme. See below for how to get one.

Both digesters take ALL cooked and uncooked food waste including meat, fish, bones, dairy products, vegetables and fruit.

How does the Green Johanna Work?

The Green Johanna can safely handle both garden and all food waste, producing an excellent quality compost for use in your garden. For more information click here (opens external window).

Green Cone have advised us that if you use corn starch caddy liners, these can be put in your Green Johanna, as they have been proven to biodegrade effectively. However, it is not recommended that you put corn starch liners in your Green Cone.
