Household recycling centres:

The ten household recycling centres across the county are now operating their summer opening hours and there will be no changes over the bank holiday weekends.

At Stanton St Quinton, Trowbridge, Lower Compton, Melksham, Everleigh, Purton, Devizes and Amesbury they are open from 9am to 5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Wednesdays and Thursdays they are open an extra two hours until 7pm.

At Salisbury and Warminster the recycling centres are open from 9am to 8pm every day.

The council expects the centres to be very busy over the bank holiday weekend. Residents are asked to take advantage of the late-night openings midweek to help avoid queues.
