Q. What software do I need to view these films?

A. To watch video on the homepage you need Flash on your computer. If your computer does not have Flash a message will appear offering you a free download. Alternatively follow this link to find out more and to download.

Q. Why is it taking time to load?

A. This site is aimed at broadband users, so you will not be able to access it on a dial up connection. We recommend at least 512kbps broadband connection. You may also be somewhere where heavy internet use by other people may be slowing down your connection. Where possible we have put a lower quality video file which will play on slower connections.

Q. The video does not load.

A. Some organisations prevent videos from being played on their internal computers. Please check with your IT support to see if this is the case - and whether the block can be lifted.

Q. The video stops and starts while I watch it.

A. Either:

a) your broadband connections is slow; or
b) your PC memory cannot cope. Drag the video player control back a minute and try again. Close any other programs you may have open which will allow your computer to process the video faster.

Q. The sound on the video is not working.

A. If you get audio disturbance try refreshing your web page. Please note that your computer has sound controls accessible from the control panel and that the video player has sound controls which appear in the player window.

Q. If I still can’t download a certain film or view it properly what can I do?

A. We may be able to provide a DVD for you or a transcript. Please contact wastemanagement@wiltshire.gov.uk for further details.
