You can recycle a great number of electrical appliances at your nearest Household Recycling Centre. See below for more information about what happens to them when they are collected.

Fridges and freezers logo

Fridges and Freezers can produce harmful Ozone Depleting Substances when left in landfill. End of life Fridges and Freezers that are taken to our Household Recycling Centres are sent to Sims Group Uk Ltd.

 

Their re-processing facililty in Newport operates a fridge recycling plant which strips end of life fridges down to their raw materials. It also removes Ozone Depleting Substances for safe destruction.

Large appliances logo

Large appliances such as washing machines, cookers and dishwashers in good working condition can be re-used by Refurbiz. They can collect these appliances from our Stanton, Honeyball and Devizes Household Recycling Centres.

 

Appliances that can't be re-used are collected by a company called Computer Salvage Specialists in Newbury for reprocessing.

These are passed on to the Wiser Recycling Group in Cambridgeshire for re-processing.
