Due to the hazardous nature of cement bonded asbestos, it can only be accepted at a facility with a special licence issued by the Environment Agency.

There are three sites in Wiltshire which provide collection for asbestos:

Purton Household Recycling Centre

Salisbury Household Recycling Centre

Warminster Household Recycling Centre

These sites can only accept cement bonded asbestos by appointment only, you can find contact details to make an appointment here.

 

 

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR ASBESTOS

  • Damp down and wrap all asbestos in plastic.
  • Make sure all pieces are manageable (not bigger than 2m X 2m).
  • Bring along help if needed as staff are unable to assist.
  • Supply your own personal protective equipment.
  • Bring proof of address and a photo ID.

 

 

 RE-PROCESSING

Asbestos collected for recycling is taken Nursteed Transfer Station in Devizes for re-processing.
